Molly Ailín Cavanagh is a sound designer, composer, music producer and writer, originally from Co. Wicklow, Ireland and currently based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
In 2024, she graduated with an MSc in Sound Design from the University of Edinburgh. She also holds a BA (Joint) Hons in Music and History from Trinity College Dublin.
As a result of her interdisciplinary creative practice, Molly has professional experience in film, tv and theatre and has also worked as a sound engineer, musician, and storyteller.
Her work often draws inspiration from electronic, folk and traditional music. As a Gaelgeoir (Irish speaker), she is heavily influenced by Celtic mythology and culture, nature and her own life.
Molly has previously released two singles and performed across Dublin under the alias ‘Maċa’.
